Vanilla Bean Blond is one of the tastiest local brews made in the greater Omaha area. Glengarry's take on this very simple to make beer is the addition of real Madagascar Vanilla Beans. The addition of those Vanilla Beans does however increase the overall price of making said beer as Vanilla Beans are going at $3 a piece and this brew needs 3. No Matter, We believe in quality and will stop at nothing to make it the best beer you've ever tasted. Below is the Grain Bill, adjuncts, hops, and infusion process listings for Vanilla Bean Blonde.

Grain Bill:

  • 8 lbs. 2 Row
  • 12 oz Caramunich 10L

Hops: 1 oz Cascade @ start of boil

Adjuncts: 3 large Madagascar Vanilla Beans, add to fermenter.

Yeast: Wyeast 1056 American Ale

Infusion Process:

  • 10 mins @ 120 degrees
  • 10 mins @ 150 degrees
  • 30 mins @ 155 degrees
  • raise to 170 degrees, mash out.
  • boil 60 mins, cool, transfer to fermenter.

Fermentation: 14 days @ ^ 65 degrees F

OG: ~ 1.037

FG: ~ 1.025

ABV: ~ 5.2%
